The best matcha that I have ever tried in Singapore! The matcha taste is just right, not too sweet and not too strong. Nice view facing the river.

Atmosphere Seating capacity limited. No one to clean the tables and chairs. Not exactly comfortable sitting. It's quite surprising to find a Japanese cafe in such a condition. Service The lady at the counter was warm and patient, able to make good recommendations patiently. Food We like what we ordered. Yuzu houji Cha and latte were good, not too sweet. The shiratama Parfait and warabimochi were good too. Of course, it can't be compared to what you can get in Japan, but it's good in local context.

Facing the river, perfect spot to eat ice cream on hot days. Highly recommended : Warabi mochi 5/5. Very soft and chewy. Matcha powder is not too bitter and kinako soy powder is nutty and fragrant. The brown sugar syrup brings out the flavours of everything even more! Chiffon soft serve ice cream 5/5. The matcha is not too bitter. The ice cream is not too sweet either. Perfectly balanced. The Chiffon cake is really soft and not eggy which I like. The small addition of red bean paste is a really nice compliment to the ice cream and Chiffon cake. The added cereal which is weird to me but others like it. Ice blended matcha milk 5/5. Very creamy. The sweetness of the ice cold milk tone down the bitterness of the matcha at the same time the bitterness of the matcha brings out the sweetness of the creamy milk.

•As we walked along the Singapore River (near Clarke Quay Central), after a fulfilling seafood lunch nearby, we decided to seek respite and shelter from the mid-day blazing sun. •And also to have some well- deserved sweet desserts (from Kyoto): ~Warabi Parfait; ~Oita Yuzu Matcha (drink). •Both were truly nice and wonderful (good choices)! ~the differently-flavoured warabi jelly (powder from a fern-like stem) was softly textured, yet tender and chewy (obviously softer than mochi made from glutinous rice) and the puffed-rice grains were fresh and crunchy, yet balanced well with the soft ice-cream. ~the yuzu drink blended well with matcha, without being too sweet. Maybe, you would like to try out the unique Tsujiri desserts at its outlets yourself, sometime soon?

Location is as good as it gets in Singapore, next to the river, but seating is hard and limited. However, the quality of what is served is top notch ! And friendly , smiley , happy , helpful and knowledgeable service. Totally enjoyed the volcano pudding , recommended with hoijicha gelato

Had the Matcha Basque Cheesecake and Oita Yuzu drink. The drink was sweet and fizzy which made it very refreshing. It was a little bit too sweet for my preferences but I am sensitive. I'd recommend this drink to anyone. My slice of cheesecake was not very good. It was still frozen in the center and overall had a poor texture. I would not recommend the cheesecake.

I frequently visit this shop from time to time. But, today’s drink is totally a big dissapointment. It’s overly sweet like sugar drink. And the cup is not fully filled in. Only 3/4 filled. The standard has decreased significantly. Matcha roll cake doesn’t taste good as well. Better spend the money elsewhere.
